Cooking with authentic local products

The ideal formula for the gourmet who appreciates authentic local produce and know how. We bring you the ingredients direct from the producer and with the aid of our chef a delicious meal is prepared. The convent's spacious and fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal.

The pink garlic of Lautrec, trout, the cheeses of Roquefort, goats' cheese, the sugar museum at Cordes sur Ciel, honey, snails, the market at Albi, delicatessen meats from Lacaune, Gaillac wine, duck, deer farming (60 ha), mushrooms, fruit … let yourself be overcome by the quality and variety of the local produce, the smell, the taste and the flavour of the south.

The programmes can be changed depending on the season, the local markets, festivals and other events.

Nature and walking

 

We combine walking tours along marked paths across unsullied nature, beside rivers, lakes and botanical pathways, amongst te rocks and menhirs of the Sidobre with visits to the Jardins des Martels (more than 2500 different varieties of plants), to a wind and water mill, to an exhibition on wooden toys and a visit to the wook and toy house. We explore the wood with a forester.

Other possibilities : The wooden shoe maker at Lautrec, the deer farm (60 ha), the observatory and planetarium at Montredon Labessonie, a demonstration of free flying eagles at Carcassonne. The walking tours can be adapted to all levels. We also propose day long walks, early mornig walks and night-time walks.
